The pike fight is a pike fishing competition for 2-3 man teams that is organized twice a year and is a sub-competition in the SPL.

Only spin fishing & fly fishing is allowed. Live fishing, vertical, trolling, angling, etc. are not allowed.

The pike fight is a cash competition where a total of SEK 10,000 goes to the winning team if there are 50 paying teams. All teams gather in Hofors before the start, after gathering you are free to fish wherever you want, as long as you make it back to the end. The water must be open and accessible to the public.

NO PRIVATE WATERS.

The competition ends with the teams gathering again in Hofors for the award ceremony.

The 4 longest pikes over 80 cm are counted and the highest total wins the competition. The pike fight is a Catch'n Release competition, which means that the fish is photographed against a measuring board and then released back into the water. Maximum limit of 45 participating teams + sponsor/organizer teams.
