SverigeGäddan 2023 Höst

Rules (Sweden Pike 2023 Autumn)

Please read the following rules carefully before emailing us questions!

Rules and information for the Swedish pike

The competition is organized in a way that includes everyone, regardless of conditions. It doesn't matter where you live, where you fish or what boat options you have. Everyone is welcome! The registration fees go directly to Sportfiskarna and various projects they carry out.

Please read the rules, if something is still unclear, don't hesitate to contact us.

     • The Swedish pike is a competition that should be accessible to everyone. Therefore, you can fish together with someone in another location, as a team, even if you fish in different lakes. Max 3 participants in each team.

     • The registration fee is SEK 200 per team, and this money goes directly to charitable purposes within Sportfiskarna. This sum cannot be claimed back after the notification has been made. Registration is done under the "registration" tab.

     • Competition date: 28/10-2022, at 08.00 - 16.00. Pike reported before or after these times will not be counted.

     • At 07.55 on the day of the competition, a number will be sent out on Facebook (@Sverigegäddan) as well will appear in the Fishyapp. This number must be visible in the photo together with pike you report. The number can, for example, be written on a note that is held up, on a measuring board or on the hand. We do this to make sure that the pikes are really taken on the day of the competition.

     • The pikes that are reported must be over 60 cm. It is the combined length of the team's three longest pikes that will be your final result.

     • C&R must be conducted during the competition, and pictures where the pike is measured against a substrate that can damage the fish will lead to disqualification. Such substrates can be, for example, a jetty, dry ground or a stone slab.

     • The pikes must be photographed against a measuring board (or other suitable measuring equipment) together with the number that is sent out, both the number and the length of the pike must be clearly visible. It must also be photographed together with the catcher + number, also there the number must be clearly visible. Important to measure the pike with the head against 0.

     • Competition officials are judges in the competition, and decide whether the pikes have been treated correctly and whether the measurements you enter are correct. If cheating is suspected, the pike is not counted. These decisions must be respected.

     •  Reporting only takes place via the Fishyapp.

     • If several teams end up with the same final result, it is decided by the longest individual pike. If teams have the same length there too, it will be decided at what time the longest pike was reported.

     • Rules regarding the longest fish, if two people have caught the same length, the one who reported the longest fish first wins.

     • Fishing may be conducted throughout Sweden, where it is permitted. If you fish in illegal waters, such as private areas, protected areas or play areas, you will be immediately disqualified. Of course you must have a fishing license for the water where you choose to fish. Also remember to take private ramps and parking at the waters you visit into account.

     • Permitted methods are hand gear, i.e. spin, fly, vertical. Only one rod per participant is allowed. (Trolling & fishing is not allowed)

     • Prizes are awarded to the three best placed teams. A separate prize for the competition's longest pike is also awarded. These prices consist of things that shops and bait builders contribute, as the registration fees go to Sportfishers.

     • The competition management is not responsible for the participants' health or equipment during the competition.
