Gäddfighten Gävle/Dala is a pike fishing competition for 2-3 man teams that is arranged twice a year and is a sub-competition in SPL. Only spin fishing & fly fishing is allowed. Vertical, trolling, angling etc. is not allowed.

All teams gather in Hofors before the start, after gathering you are free to fish wherever you want within Gästrikland and Dalarna.
The competition ends with the teams gathering again in Hofors for the award ceremony.

The 4 longest pikes over 75 cm are counted and the highest total wins the competition.

The pike fight is a Catch'n Release competition, which means that the fish is photographed against a measuring board and then released back into the water

Maximum limit of 45 participating teams + sponsor/organizer teams.
Registration fee SEK 800/team.
