Nedre Glomma Gjeddefestival 2024 - NM Gjeddefiske

Rules (

Nedre Glomma Gjeddefestival 2024 - NM Gjeddefiske

)

This year, the use of modern aids such as Livescope, Mega Live, Live360, Active target, etc. will not be permitted. This will be determined based on the results of the evaluation carried out in advance.

The team competition applies per boat, and a maximum of 4 participants are allowed per team.

Anyone who has this installed on their boat must either remove the transducer or the "black box" so that Livescope cannot be used. Random tests can also be carried out to check this both before and during the competition.

All catches MUST be recorded using the Fishy app and the assigned registration code you received when you registered with Fishy to be approved. Take a picture via the app and remember that it is the top line on the measuring stick that counts. It is allowed to pinch the tail fin. The fish must pass the line to be approved for its length.
Based on the regulations for fishing in Glomma, it is only allowed to keep 2 fish per day and all pikes over 80 cm MUST be released back into the water. Fish that are not to be used for food must also be released back into the water.

Fishing is permitted with up to 6 rods per boat.
Fishing with methods other than a fishing rod is not permitted.
Fishing methods that are not approved in Norway are not allowed (live bait, pike scissors, etc.). As previously mentioned, live scope is also not allowed.
Other auxiliary equipment such as Paravan, depth rig and echo sounder is permitted, but everyone should act carefully and not "block" the water with equipment that extends far out from the boat and is a nuisance to other participants.
When fishing from shore, only 3 rods per person are allowed.
The fishing competition stretches from Vamma (Askim) to Opsundtangen (Sarpsborg)

Boat departures start after information distribution at Furuholmen at 9:30, but fishing ONLY starts at 10:00. Fishing closes on Sunday at 2:00 PM and all boats must be in by 2:30 PM on Sunday.

NOTE: Boats that are not back before 2:30 PM will be grounded.

In the event of an equal length in the competitions, the length of the next fish determines who wins.

Participants are responsible for their own safety during the event.

ATTENTION! The rules of the sea must be followed during the event.

NOTE: Boats without approved flotation devices for everyone on board will be denied entry to the competition.
