Nedre Glomma Gjeddefestival 2024 - NM Gjeddefiske

Rules (Nedre Glomma Deer Festival 2024 - NM Deer Fishing)

This year, it will not be allowed to use modern aids such as Livescope, Mega Live, Live360, Active target and the like. This has been determined based on the results of the evaluation made in advance.

The team competition applies per boat, and a maximum of 4 participants per team is allowed.

Whoever has this installed on the boat must either remove the transmitter or the "black box" so that the Livescope cannot be used. It will also be possible to carry out random tests to check this both before and during the competition.

All catches MUST be registered using the Fishy app and the assigned registration code you received when you signed up for Fishy to be approved. Take a photo via the app and remember that it is the top row of the measuring stick that counts. It is allowed to pinch the tail fin. The fish must cross the line to be approved with the length.
Based on the regulations for fishing in Glomma, it is only allowed to take care of 2 fish per day and all pikes over 80 cm MUST be returned. Fish that are not to be used for food must also be released back into the water.

It is allowed to fish with up to 6 rods per boat
It is not permitted to fish with methods other than fishing rods.
Fishing methods that are not approved in Norway are not allowed (live bait, pike scissors, etc.). As previously mentioned, Livescope is also not allowed.
Other auxiliary equipment such as Paravan, depth rig and sonar are allowed, but everyone must act carefully and not "block" the water with equipment that extends far from the boat and is a nuisance to other participants.
When harvesting from land, only 3 rods per person are allowed
The fishing competition stretches from Vamma (Askim) to Opsundtangen (Sarpsborg)

Departure with boats starts after information distribution at Furuholmen at 09:30, but fishing starts FIRST at 10:00. Fishing closes on Sunday at 14:00, and all boats must be in by 14:30 on Sunday at the latest.

ATTENTION! Boats not returned by 2:30pm will be washed.

In the event of an equal length in the competitions, the length of the next fish determines who wins.

Participants are responsible for their own safety during the event.

ATTENTION! The rules of the sea must be followed during the event.

ATTENTION! Boats without approved flotation devices for everyone on board will be denied participation in the competition
