Gäddan i Norr 2024

Rules (Pike in the North 2024)

Team competition 1-3 people / boat.

Fishing methods, spin fishing, fly rod fishing, hand-held trolling (one active rod per participant), vertical fishing, live fishing (if you have it, you will use it) so until you get more facts about this fishing, it is allowed in this competition as we cannot check this. Our team does not have this.

Before the start, we will send out a number that must be included in the measurement photo (will also be posted under news Saturday morning).

The competition area is what is geographically known as Norrland. If you know yourself as a NORTHERN, then you can join.
You may fish waters where either a permit, fishing right or fishing license is available.

Fishing without a fishing license or in illegal waters results in disqualification.

Own measuring board must be used.

Posing photo if a person is just fishing, it's perfectly okay to take a photo of your face next to the pike when it's on the measuring board.

Reporting will take place via the Fishy App.
Several tackled rods may be in the boat. only one active rod per participant.

All competitors SHOULD wear a life jacket, overalls, flotation base or other flotation garment from
the boat leaves port until the boat is back in port.

You measure your 5 longest pikes.

Minimum size: Pike 75cm

When you have received a full paper, you only report in when there is an increase.
Commenced centimeters are rounded down.

The sent 4-digit number should be visible on the measurement image!!

The measuring board must be placed flat and horizontal and the tail fin may be carefully adjusted with a finger but not pressed together as the fish can be damaged, the fish must be placed carefully on the measuring board and you must not pull the fish in its lengthwise direction. The fish may be held with one or, if necessary, two hands while measurement and documentation takes place, you may NOT hold one hand on the tail pole (results in a 3 cm deduction).
When photographing, it must be clearly seen that the nose is against the edge (otherwise a 3 cm deduction is given) and that the length can be clearly determined.
If the total length is the same, the longest fish decides, at the earliest entry.
