This year's kayak fisherman is a series that runs from May to September, where we highlight Sweden's best kayak fishermen. There will be five sub-competitions distributed throughout the country and where the 20 most talented in total go on to a final! 

Great focus is on the social side, take the chance to make new acquaintances, develop your fishing and of course listen to fishing stories on the barbecue evenings. 

Those who come in place 1,2,3 are directly qualified for the final as well as another 5 places that the competition management distributes (biggest fish in each competition). 

We have spread the competitions throughout Sweden so that as many people as possible can take part. If you want to participate in just one competition or just join in because it's fun, that's of course great.  

We are passionate about promoting kayak fishing in all its forms. It doesn't matter if you're brand new to the sport or have been around for a while, it's always fun to get together and fish together. All models are of course warmly welcome as long as it is a kayak. 

"Kayak Fisherman of the Year" is not brand-bound, nor is it tied to any store.   

The organizers are Tommy Lönnebacke and Manuel "Manne" Dahlberg under the banner of the kayak fishing magazine. We arrange all competitions except the competition in Luleå/Råneälv, but it is included in Kayak Fisherman of the Year.
