A total of 49 expectant and tagged teams came to the start in today's competition Gäddfighten Vårgäddan. The day offered glorious fishing weather and with many fine results.
A total of 26 100+ fish were reported, which is really good and indicates that we have really nice fishing waters in our area. Several teams were involved and fought at the top and during the day and until the dark period there were many who could reach a podium place. Once the competition was over we found Team Banana in a nice 3rd place with 399cm on their four fish.
The organizing team, Team Gäddfighten, took the silver with a fine 409 cm. But there was absolutely no one who could threaten the winners Team Arcticpike! With the absolutely incomparable final figure of 459 cm and 4 pikes of 125,120,117 & 97 cm there was no talk. A result we will probably never experience again.
It's just a matter of bowing and congratulations on the win.

The SPL Ranking is now updated and after two competitions this year we can find Team Savage Pikehunters with Jari Göras Axner, Eero Haara, Robert Belin and Jussi Jaanus as Sweden's highest ranked pike fishing team right now. Eighth place at Gäddfighten and fourth place at Vårgäddan is enough to lead with a total of 1811 points! Good there! You can find the ranking in its entirety here!
