Now we're starting to talk about record numbers of registrations! Close to fifty pikes have been approved this week.
Two contestants have passed the 500 mark today. Kent Rockabilly Olsson who today took the lead with two new fish with a nice 114 cm on top, has fished a total of 522 cm and Mårten Wester who with three new fish today is at 521 cm. From below come guys like Magnus Ranberg, last year's winner of the Gäddfajten, with now a total of 354 cm but that on just four fish.
The fact that Magnus just started reporting fish is a clear sign that the Norrland ice caps are now gone and we can probably count on more long Norrland fish.
We can already say that the premiere of the Swedish Pike Open will offer a competition with lots of fish and great drama! Check out the standings here and check your own fish, that everyone is included and that everything is correct!
