Then the first competition day was over at the Nordic River Pike Open Umeälven! The competition continues on Saturday and it's exciting!
The first day was dominated by Team Enständigsvekilse! The men closed the gap by landing a crazy 121cm 13050 gram fish just 15 minutes into the competition! Such a fish is not often seen in a competition context, the team's final result was a nice 460 cm on five fish!
In second place we find the experienced Team Gäddfighten (Fredrik Sundkvist, Christoffer Sundkvist) at 451 cm, the team has been fishing steadily throughout the day!
In third right now we find the Vindeln Smurfs (Thomas Barkemo, Niklas Folkesson, Tobias Teglund) 437 cm. The team has also fished steadily with five fish today, one of three teams that managed to fill the paper!
Tomorrow the competition continues and it is still completely open how it will end, but of course if you have a 121 in your luggage, you can fish really well! All results and pictures are here!
