Good there! Big congratulations also to the winning team, Team Tidofishing, who collected 1100 fine points! Here you will find latest ranking! Below is a report from the competition management!
- Last Saturday, the second competition in the Swedish Perch Tournament 2021 took place. The competition was decided in Gäddeholm (Västerås) with Mälaren as the competition water. The host store for this sub-competition was Sportfiskeboden Västerås, which has everything in fishing and some more!
All sub-competitions in the Swedish Perch Tournament are included in the Swedish Perch League's national ranking system. All sub-competitions are qualifiers for the WC in perch 2022, which is organized by Sportfiskarna.
For the competition, 28 tense teams had gathered to compete for the podium positions. Today's weather conditions were similar to those of the first stage, bright sun and high temperatures that set the tone for the day of the competition.
At lunch and half time for the competition, it was incredibly exciting at the top, when from first place down to fifth place, only 6 cm separated the teams. Despite the high temperatures and the intrusive sun, many of the teams had managed to crack the code and deliver full reports.
By the end of the competition it would appear that Team Tidofishing's post-lunch push paid off as they climbed from sixth to first place and the win of the second leg of the Swedish Perch Tournament. Second place was taken by Team FRB over Team DLS/Echo Marine by having a longer kicker fish reported.
The three teams that best managed to master the conditions on Lake Mälaren and placed on the podium were the following teams:
1) Team Tidofishing, 182cm
2) Team FRB, 174cm
3) Team DLS/Echo Marine, 174cm
Today's longest fish was caught by Team Tidofishing and Jesper Dahlin, which measured 41cm. We want to say big congratulations to Jesper who wins one
nice package from Berkley for the "Longest Catch of the Day". We would like to thank Sportfiskeboden Västerås, which was the host store, all partners and of course all the participants who participated in the second part of the Swedish Perch Tournament 2021.
The next competition starts on August 21 in Värmeln, Arvika. At the time of writing, we have 21 registered teams for that competition. Registration is still open so don't miss the chance to join and participate in Sweden's best perch tour.
