Then it was time to pay tribute to Sweden's most skilled perch fisherman in 2022, none other than the superb Torbjörn Larsson from Vagnhärad!
With an absolutely incomparable suite of 505 cm! A total of 10 perch of 50cm or over and with a top fish of 52cm he is simply unbeatable.
We know that there are many hours behind Torbjörn's feat, because it really is a feat! A suite of perch taken in just a single season that many fail to catch in a lifetime. Big congratulations Torbjörn, this goes down in perch fishing history. It spurs us organizers to both continue and develop the Swedish Perch Open after this year's premiere of the concept.
Of course, we also have to pay tribute to more people. Incredibly good fishing also by Jimmy Dahlgren in the picture above who took second place at 498 cm! Big congratulations and crazy good fishing.
Third place goes to Thomas Gustafsson with 488 cm. Well done Thomas!
The competition's longest fish were actually four 52s, these were caught by Jimmy Dahlgren, Torbjörn Larsson, Thomas Gustafsson and Adam Wiking.
